if you don't know who he is, then you're truly not a baseball fan.
it's weird. he was one of a few of my childhood favorites: nolan ryan, ryan sandberg, ken griffey, jr., wade boggs.
perhaps he's playing in the big diamond in the sky...

Wasn't he pretty young?
yeah... he was only in his mid-forties.
i think he had a stroke.
but, interestingly enough, he had glaucoma, which is what my neighbor had, which lead to her blindness. (and fueled my passion to teach those with disabilities...)
