you can elaborate if you wish.
it'll be interesting to see how different people think...
here's my list:
- touch
- taste
- smell
- hearing
- vision
touch, if you think about it, can be dealt without. unless in extremely hot/cold situations, it's not a big part of your life. hold on. i'm changing that. sex. that's all i'll say.
alright...
- taste
- smell
- touch
- hearing
- vision
o.k. that's better. i like to be touched.
taste... well, i assume one could imagine. and smell. have you ever been around me. i don't even want to smell myself sometimes.
and then the serious ones. it would be so difficult to not be able to hear/speak (which inspires me to help those who can't). so... i think i could deal without hearing since there is american sign language.
however, growing up with a blind neighbor -- who was no less than amazing -- i can see where it'd be the toughest thing ever. she made the best of it by cooking, cleaning and even gardening on her own. hell, she was even a high school teacher with prosthetic eyes! i couldn't do it.
the sense i'd hate to lose the most is certainly my vision.
it'll be interesting to hear your responses.

I can do without smelling, if u can't smell, taste is fucked. I'll go deaf next cause at last I can see the closed captions and everything around me. I need touch the most cause without it I could not feel what I can't see, hear, taste, or smell. That would suck...

I could live with out smell...although it'd suck. I could live with out taste...although that'd suck too. I can learn sign language...know some already, but I'd miss music. However, to not be able to see a sunset/rise again, and to not be able to feel the warmth of another person near me...I couldn't live without those having had the privilege of experiencing them all my life.
Cheers! M@
1. smell, mines already hosed, never does me any good except when something is really strong, and then I usually hate the smell anyway. Farts anyone?
2. taste, my food choices would probably increase, since I hate the taste of so many things. It would also be nice to not taste the grease on my flashlight when I'm forced to hold it in my teeth while hanging under an instrument panel.
3. hearing, I would really miss my ipod, the ability hear problems with the cars and airplanes, not being able to soak up the ambiance of a movie or ever be startled again by a sudden noise. But I would miss the next 2 more.
4. touch, It is amazing how much can be done with this, in the dark you can feel your partner, you can fix things around corners you cannot see through, you can tell what the weather is like and figure out why you are sweating and stop yourself from getting burned, but I would even let this go to keep....
5. vision, without this, no computer games, very hard to even use a computer, which is my life, no driving, no flying, no skydiving, no motorcycles, no porno, no leering glances, no reading books in a realistic time frame, no art appreciation (unless its sculpture, and not even that if this list took place in order). This would be the absolute last thing I would give up.
I would like to say you get weird sometimes, except I've had this conversation too many times with too many people. Talked about it with my roomie the other night since I started dating a deaf guy. :)
